Least-cost routing (LCR)

Least-cost routing sends a contactless debit tap through the cheaper of the two networks on the card — usually eftpos rather than Visa or Mastercard. Least-cost routing can lower a merchant's cost of accepting debit taps without changing anything the customer sees. Whether it is on by default varies by provider.
